Panpatia Col Trek

The first crossing of Panpatia Col (Climbing route) was done by Martin Moran's team in 2000 May by climbing the icefall. 

The route from Badrinath- Neelkanth Khal - Panpatia Glacier- Parvati Gully - Panpatia Col - Sujal Sarovar- Ransi.

Panpatia Col connects two famous holy shrines on India, Badrinath and Kedarnath. As per legend this is the only direct route followed by the mythical priest who performed Puja at both the shrines in a single day. Panpatia snowfield is amongst the biggest snowfield in Garhwal Himalayas around 10 kms in length and 2-3 kms wide. Route goes through from Badrinath- Neelkanth Khal - Panpatia Glacier- Parvati Gully - Panpatia Col - Sujal Sarovar- Ransi. The trail was explored by Shimpton & Tilman in early 1934.

Day 3: Joshimath Badrinath. 

Day 4: Trek to Dumkal Kharak, camp
Day 5: Cross Nilkanth Khal (Holds worth's Pass-4650m) , camp
Day 6: Trek to snout of Panpatia Glacier (3840m), camp
Day 7: Trek to moraine camp of Panpatia glacier (4450m), camp
Day 8: Trek to Panpatia plateau (4950m), camp
Day 9: across Panpatia Col (5260m), camp at Sujal Sarovar (4750m)
Day 10: trek to Madmaheswar (3292m), camping
Day 11: trek to Ransi (2073m)
Day 12 to 14 :: Last road head.

Day 15 : Drive to Rishikesh

Day 16:  Drive to Delhi.

Panpatia Snowfield is amongst the biggest snowfield in Gharwal Himalayas (around 10 kms in length and 2-3 kms wide). This connects 2 holy shrines, Badrinath and Kedarnath. Day 12……..Madhyamaheshwar ( 3289 mtrs ) One of Panch Kedar
Day 13……...Ransi
Day 14……Upper camp Ransi
Day 15……Thaul
Day 16…….Dwarakhal- Mandani (3569 mtrs ) plz see map
Day 17…….Semtoli
Day 18…….Semtoli dhar- Bisali col base (4401 Mtrs) –map
Day 19……. Bisali col base (4401 Mtrs) to Upper Kedarnath Camp.
Day 20…….Kedar Nath (we r getting down frm that side where helipad is located so now it is quite clear so the vasuki tal is just opposite side.
Day 21……Trek to Gauri kund .

Day 22........Drive to Rishikesh

Day 23....... Drive to Delhi.
